Phlebotomist II

Location: Lincoln, NE

Pay Rate: $25/hr

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with a 1-hour lunch; occasional Saturday shifts from 8:00am-12:00pm as needed

What You'll Do

• Collect blood specimens through venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric collections

• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures

• Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper specimen labeling procedures are followed

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing

• Provide excellent patient care while explaining procedures and creating a comfortable experience

• Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection duties as assigned

• Maintain a safe, professional, and organized work environment

• Support coverage at multiple patient service center and in-office locations as needed

What We're Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

• Strong pediatric blood draw experience required

• Excellent phlebotomy and specimen processing skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment

• Customer service experience in a retail, healthcare, or service environment preferred

• Keyboard and data entry experience

• Medical assistant, paramedic training, or phlebotomy certification preferred

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations as needed

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and adjusted schedules based on business needs

• Ability to meet compliance requirements
