About the Position

Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years Emergency Nursing experience License: Valid Registered Nurse license Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred Must-Have: General Emergency Department nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education Description: 65-bed Emergency Department with a pod-based setup. Includes a separate pediatric pod and an area for Acute Mental Health. The department has an average census of 230 visits per day. Clinician to patient ratio is 1:4. Charting is done using the EMR system. Floating between units may be required. Rotating shifts are required for day positions upon request, with low rotation frequency. Night positions do not rotate.
