JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
Licenses: Active NC medical license, NC DEA, IMLC acceptable
DEA / CDS: Active DEA with NC address required
Experience: Minimum 2 years EM experience within past 3 years, or completion of EM residency within past 2 years
Other Qualifications: CME documentation past 2 years, copy of medical diploma, intern/residency certificates, board certification, driver's license photo

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide physician coverage for emergency department shifts (7a-7p, 3p-1a, 7p-7a)
Supervise and collaborate with nurse practitioners/physician assistants (NPPAs)
Manage acute medical conditions, trauma, and emergency procedures
Ensure timely patient evaluation, stabilization, and disposition
Maintain accurate medical records and comply with facility protocols
