Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a position in a free-standing emergency department located in Everett, Washington. This role involves working in a busy ED setting with a patient population consisting of adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized, standalone Emergency Department with a focus on critical care procedures and patient management.

Job Details:

• Location: Everett, Washington
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; 2 years of experience in an emergency department; certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS; experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Ventilated Patient Care, Central line management, Chest tube insertion, Continuous IV sedation, Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, 12 lead EKG/ECG, Phlebotomy, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Starting and maintaining IVs, Triage; EMR proficiency in Epic; willingness to provide two references covering one year (six months for CNAs) within the last three years prior to start.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience; experience working in a free-standing ED setting containing no respiratory therapist or pharmacy onsite.
• Additional Information: RN will perform respiratory therapy and pharmacy roles; procedures include sedation, RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation), drains, Port-A-Cath and vascular device access and care, syringe pumps, triple lumen catheters; 15% pediatric patient population; vaccination requirements include COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Submission Requirements: Two references covering at least one year within the last three years, including any charge nurse or lead roles.
