Job Description
The Associate Dentist for private practice is responsible for providing high-quality dental care, performing patient exams, and developing treatment plans to address individual patient needs. This role involves a mix of restorative procedures, oral surgery support, and patient education, with a focus on maintaining accurate records and following strict infection control protocols. The Associate Dentist operates independently within a collaborative team environment to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient exams to assess oral health
- Develop and present treatment plans tailored to patients’ needs
- Perform restorative dental procedures
- Assist with oral surgery as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate effectively with dental team members
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in dentistry
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid dental license to practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in dental examination and oral diagnosis
- Experience in patient care and restorative dentistry
- Knowledge of endodontics and periodontics
- Skill in dental radiography
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
