Claims Reimbursement Specialist - Business Office, CareResource Hawaii (Full Time, 40, Day)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Effective Date: 02/24

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general direction of the Business Services Manager, responsible for submitting bills, collecting monies, and ensuring authorization due for services rendered. Performs various duties including data entry, word processing, creating, and maintaining files, assembling, and distributing required material data for reports and projects.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking. Constant: reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion and frequent gripping of objects. Frequent: standing, walking, stooping/bending, and twisting body. Infrequent: lifting, pushing, and carrying items up to 15 pounds.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Not subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in business or two (2) years of billing and collection work experience may be substituted for a degree.

B. EXPERIENCE:

Experience in a healthcare environment. Experience to demonstrate the following: Ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel and Word. Ability to communicate effectively English, both orally and in writing. Ability to operate office equipment including computer. Familiarity with Homecare Homebase and/or similar home care software.
