Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator Assistant working on the 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with occasional work on Fridays. In this role, you will support the operations of our state-of-the-art packaging equipment. We are looking for motivated individuals who are committed to safety, punctuality, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.
• Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures.
• Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center.
• Read and follow order specification documents.
• Consistently work to develop or enhance skill set.
• Work effectively with co-workers and establish a team approach to achieve company goals.
• Follow all company rules and policies.
• Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and write English.
• Mechanically inclined and able to learn new skills within a standard timeline.
• Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform mentally and physically at a high pace with a sense of urgency.
• Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Pass drug screen and physical abilities test.

Work Environment

Work in a very large facility that can get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. You will have exposure to a variety of machines, including Flexograph, Flexo Folder, and Gluer, and work alongside a smaller crew on weekends and swing shifts. The facility includes a gym and a large break room with food for purchase. Employees are expected to adhere to a dress code suitable for a manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, WA.

The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30/hr.
