Endocrinologist (New York)

Overview

Diagnose and treat endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid diseases, obesity, and osteoporosis in an outpatient setting. Assist patients in managing physical limitations related to endocrine issues.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, examine, and investigate patients for signs and history of hormonal imbalances.
• Advise, order, and perform diagnostic tests.
• Discuss diagnoses with patients, explain treatment options, and provide guidance on medications, lifestyle, dietary changes, and preventative measures.
• Conduct follow‑up appointments, monitor progress, adjust treatment plans and medications, and update patient records.
• Handle basic administrative tasks.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Medical degree (or Master’s in nursing/epidemiology) in endocrinology with residency and fellowship completion, or Master’s in endocrinology with nurse practitioner specialization, or medical license and certification to practice endocrinology.
• Thorough understanding of the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions.
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Endocrinology.
• Valid DEA registration and New York medical license.
• BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of post‑residency clinical experience.
• Active Medicare and NYS Medicaid registration.
• Familiarity with NextGen EHR.
• Experience with the I/DD patient population.

Compensation

$110.00‑190.00 per hour.
