Senior Systems Analyst

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiatives in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to work for our company.

Summary:

• Client Agency is National Science Foundation.
• Leads the delivery of analytical and consultative services across all phases of program execution, including business requirements analysis, software design, system and performance testing, and implementation.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities in areas such as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and software development.
• Reviews and evaluates program resources, including budget and schedule considerations.
• Analyzes user needs to define functional requirements and develops solutions for moderately complex to highly complex systems.
• Applies expertise in information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, communications protocols, risk management, software development methodologies, lifecycle management, and modeling and simulation.
• Performs functional decomposition to identify required tasks, interdependencies, and resource needs.
• Facilitates and supervises requirements-gathering sessions and ensures that business, system, and integration requirements align with program objectives.
• Evaluates alternatives and provides actionable recommendations.
• Proactively identifies, communicates, and mitigates risks, while resolving issues to minimize impacts on project success.

Requirements:

• Must be eligible for a clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
• Must have 10+ years in data analytics, information systems, automation, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered as a substitution.
• Proven experience analyzing and supporting HR systems, data warehouse, and analytics solutions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with data analytics, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data integration concepts.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as HRIS, CRM, or data warehouses.
• Solid understanding of system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or within cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with data standards and analytics best practices.
