Position Overview Peachybbies is looking for a Product Designer and Developer to create new products across craft kits, activity kits, clay, slime, compounds, sensory products, and other creative play categories. This role will focus on product ideas, visual direction, prototypes, play testing, and product improvement. You will also stay involved as products move through costing, sampling, testing, packaging, and production. To be successful in this role, you must have strong creative instincts, good visual taste, and a clear understanding of how physical products are developed. Ideal candidates will have experience in toys, arts and crafts, activity kits, compounds, clay, or similar consumer products. Responsibilities Research current trends, customer interests, competing products, and new category opportunities. Generate original product ideas, collections, line extensions, and product platforms. Develop products across craft kits, activity kits, clay, slime, compounds, and sensory play. Define what the customer will make, do, or experience with the product. Create and assemble physical prototypes. Direct junior designers, sculptors, artists, or outside specialists who help create prototypes. Test products with the target customer and improve them based on feedback. Select components, materials, colors, finishes, and other product details. Make sure products feel cute, current, cohesive, and consistent with the Peachybbies brand. Build product assortments at different prices and pack sizes. Create clear briefs, reference materials, and product requirements. Design products within cost, margin, safety, packaging, and manufacturing limits. Provide specifications, component details, and BOM information as needed. Review samples and provide clear corrections to factories and suppliers. Work with Product Management, Sourcing, Operations, Compliance, Packaging, and outside partners. Stay involved throughout development so the final product maintains the quality and appeal of the original idea. Improve existing products based on sales, customer feedback, cost, quality, and production results. Use AI tools for research, concepts, mockups, product visualization, and iteration. Qualifications Experience creating physical consumer products. Experience in toys, arts and crafts, activity kits, clay, compounds, sensory products, collectibles, or similar categories is strongly preferred. A portfolio showing products you personally created or directed. Strong visual taste, including color, form, materials, proportions, and physical product styling. Experience creating or directing physical prototypes. Strong understanding of what makes a product fun, desirable, easy to understand, and worth its retail price. Ability to balance creative goals with cost, timing, safety, packaging, and manufacturing needs. Experience reviewing samples and communicating corrections. Ability to manage several products at once while meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and follow through. Comfort working in a fast moving, founder led company. Experience using current AI tools.
