Clinical Psychologist

Job TitleStaff PsychologistDutiesStaff psychologists diagnose mental health disorders, conduct psychological, and psychosocial rehabilitation assessments, treat and provide rehabilitation for people experiencing mental health symptoms through a variety of modalities, including but are not limited to individual, group, and family psychotherapies, rehabilitation, and other interventions such as biofeedback, recovery, and environmental interventions. The ACT team provides evidence-based treatments, psychological assessments treatment planning, wrap around and referral services and case management for veterans with substance use problems and co-occurring mental health conditions as part of a multidisciplinary program. Duties may include but are not limited to:Conducts basic psychological assessments and diagnostic interviews for individuals with substance use disorders, using established assessment batteries and templates.Provides structured, manualized, or protocol-driven trauma informed therapeutic interventions (e.g., skills-based groups, motivational enhancement sessions) for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns.Assists with training activities by presenting selected case material, co-facilitating groups with trainees, or demonstrating specific clinical procedures.Ensures timely and accurate completion of clinical documentation for all encounters, assessments, and care coordination activities, incorporating outcome measures and quality indicators as required by program and facility policy.Participates in clinical research or quality improvement projects by helping design data collection tools, coordinating participant recruitment, and conducting basic data management and analysis within an established team.Supports the Psychology Service training program as needed by serving on committees, presenting at seminars and other activities.Oversees the establishment of program monitors and outcome measurements within programs assigned using data-driven quality assurance processes as need.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pmVirtual: This is not a virtual position.Functional Statement #: 11096-F, 11097-F, 11098-FRelocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not AuthorizedEDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive.
