What You'll Do
- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical reviews and inmate interviews
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and security staff to ensure comprehensive inmate care
- Develop, implement, and adjust individual treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Perform regular rounds in confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health needs
- Provide crisis counseling, mental health assessments, and interventions to inmates in distress
- Address behavioral escalations by consulting with relevant staff and applying effective counseling techniques
- Ensure treatment continuity and follow-up activities are carried out effectively
What You Need
Required:- At least being board eligible to qualify for privileges
- US Citizenship (expedited ICE clearance in place)
- Relevant experience in mental health assessment and treatment
- Strong knowledge of psychological counseling techniques
- Previous experience working in correctional or facility-based mental health settings
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and crisis management skills
