Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years minimum required License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Arterial line management - BiPAP/CPAP management - Care of ventilated patients - Central line care/management - Isolation precautions/PPE - Management of dysrhythmias - Starting and maintaining IVs - Suctioning (ETT, NT) - Titrate cardiac drips - Titrate vasoactive drips - ICU experience Description: This position requires staff to float throughout various departments, including the Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU. The candidate must be flexible due to staffing needs; no block schedule requests will be accepted. If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, working it is expected. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, both are expected to be worked. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, two major holidays are expected to be worked. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. If compliance is not met on time, the schedule may be pushed back by two weeks. Travelers must possess ICU experience and demonstrate proficiency with required skills. Candidates with first-time travel experience are accepted. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission and cannot be adjusted post-offer or on-site. Compliance documents must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to the start date. Modules are completed during orientation and are specific to the specialty. Additional information regarding patient care details and staffing will be provided during onboarding.
