Shift: Mon – Friday, Mid Shift: 11am - 7:30p. Will orient first 6 weeks on days. Work Arrangement: On-Site. Department: Sterile Processing. Facility: Capital Region Medical Center - 1125 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO. Compensation:

• Base Pay Range: $23.85 PRN
• Shift Differentials: Additional $2 per hour for evening shift

Detailed Job Description:

• Disassemble, clean, assemble, and test instrumentation for proper functioning.
• Perform and participate in the decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assembling, and packaging of medical/surgical materials including instruments and equipment according to established standards and procedures to ensure a sterile and functioning supply of materials.
• Prepare trays and specialty carts for designated areas according to prescribed procedures. Wrap and/or package items for specified areas according to procedures prescribed for those designated areas. Operate instrument tracking systems.
• Use knowledge of different types of sterilization materials and equipment to choose the appropriate material for sterilization processes.
• Assist in the maintenance of supply and materials inventory to include documenting usage, issuing, receiving, and recording as assigned.
• May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
