Product Design EngineerInsight Global is looking for a Product Design Engineer to join one of the world's leading social networking companies. This individual will work with the Reality Labs organization which helps people around the world come together through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. The Product Design Engineering team is working on cutting edge technology and needs help from skilled engineers that will help bring ideas to reality. The main function of this Product Design Engineer is to explore, prototype and implement new technologies into functional medium volume prototypes to validate technical and product level functionality, use cases and tech maturity. In parallel with de-risking efforts, we will be preparing production documentation including governing design files and bill of materials. You will work alongside a diverse and expert team consisting of EE, FW/SW, Audio, Optical engineers.Responsibilities:Lead technology development projects through creation of functional prototypes, development of test methodsDesign product components and systems for consumer electronicsDesign electromechanical and optomechanical systems for device testing and validationDevelop and implement test methods for design validationContribute to creation of technical specifications and product definition.Work closely with team consisting of EE, FW/SW/, Audio, Optical, REL, MfgEngPay Rate: $70-80/hr
