This full-time role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and includes participation in the on-call rotation. The Manager balances staff supervision, care coordination, and compliance oversight while fostering collaboration across nursing, aide, social work, and spiritual care disciplines.

The Manager of Clinical Services provides direct supervision and leadership to hospice interdisciplinary teams, including registered nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains, and other assigned clinical staff. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centered care is delivered to patients and families across the service area. The Manager supports care planning, staff development, compliance, and team collaboration while functioning as a key liaison between clinical teams and organizational leadership. Assignments may include direct oversight of a geographic patient care team or a function-based team such as After Hours or Admissions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing direct supervision to assigned interdisciplinary team members, including performance oversight, coaching, and delegation of responsibilities.
• Ensuring clinical care is delivered according to the individualized plan of care and in accordance with hospice regulations, organizational policies, and professional standards.
• Coordinating and facilitating weekly IDG meetings when assigned to patient-facing care teams, ensuring interdisciplinary communication and plan of care updates.
• Reviewing clinical documentation for timeliness, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Supporting patient care transitions and collaborating with the Director of Clinical Services on staffing and caseload distribution.
• Providing real-time coaching and intervention to staff regarding symptom management, family dynamics, ethical concerns, or complex care needs.
• Participating in the hiring, orientation, training, and evaluation of clinical staff in collaboration with Human Resources and the Director of Clinical Services.
• Maintaining awareness of and responding to quality, safety, and service concerns within the team; implementing corrective actions as appropriate.
• Assisting in scheduling and coverage planning to ensure patient needs are met, including after-hours or weekend situations as needed.
• Participating in QAPI and compliance activities and implementing improvement initiatives related to clinical quality and staff performance.
• Modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassionate care in all interactions with patients, families, and team members.
• Supporting documentation audits, surveys, or accreditation processes as assigned.
• Providing weekend or after-hours leadership support as requested by the Director of Clinical Services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• Current RN license in good standing with ability to practice in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience in hospice, palliative care, or related setting required.
• Minimum of one (1) year leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in home and facility settings with reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Demonstrated empathy, sensitivity, and ability to support patients and families from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation $80,000 $95,000 USD
