Animal Emergency & Referral Center of York is looking for a part -time Emergency Veterinarian , to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community .
About You You'll deliver exceptional, real-time care when pets and their families need it most. In this fast-paced environment, you'll strengthen your triage and critical assessment skills while being supported by a collaborative team that steps in when it matters. Our progressive compensation model is designed to reward your impact, offering a competitive base salary alongside production opportunities-with no negative accrual.
You'll provide emergency care for sick and injured patients while also managing hospitalized cases. You'll assess and diagnose patients, develop and oversee treatment plans, and partner closely with technicians to ensure high-quality execution of care. Your work will include performing surgeries, delivering critical care, and maintaining an exceptional standard of service for every patient who enters our emergency department.

Our success is rooted in recognizing the importance of a comfortable workplace and a supportive team environment. Our well-trained and well-paid support staff and a high staff-to-veterinarian ratio ensure a healthy work environment and excellent staff retention.
We are a team of dedicated professionals, including cardiologists and surgeons, and we are excited to expand our referral offerings. We are open 7 days a week, year-round, from 10 am until 10 pm.
We have a highly trained and qualified staff of veterinarians to treat your animals. Our goal is not to do what a primary care veterinarian does but to complement what they do.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual PROSAL full-time range starting at $ 1 80 K /year. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Your Experience & Skills
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required
- State Veterinary Board License:
- Active and in good standing for the state of intended employment
- Obtained prior to start date
- Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
- E xperience in emergency medicine or completion of small animal rotating or emergency internships is highly recommended
