Pay: $36.00 per hour + Health & Welfare Stipend Job description: Registered Dietitian Opportunity - McChord Medical Clinic, Joint Base Lewis-McChord US Got People (USGP) is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to provide expert nutrition services to active-duty military members, veterans, and their families at the McChord Medical Clinic located on Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) . Position Highlights: Location: McChord Medical Clinic, Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (no weekends or holidays) Compensation: $36.00/hr. + Health and Welfare Stipend Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid Time Off (PTO) and Sick Leave Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in dietetics from an accredited program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Certification: Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Board eligible as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through an in-person course (e.g., American Red Cross or equivalent per AR 40-68 guidelines) Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current, active, and unrestricted license if required by the state Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience within the last 5 years in one or more of the following: Wellness or sports nutrition Health promotion and obesity/weight management Diabetes prevention and lifestyle counseling (familiarity with the National Diabetes Prevention Program required) Experience in: Conducting group health education classes Organizing outreach and community events Working with both youth and adult populations Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain): Hepatitis B (series and titer) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Varicella (Chickenpox) TB (Tuberculosis) test Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable) Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group nutrition counseling for patients in coordination with primary care providers Lead educational classes such as diabetes management, Health Improvement Programs (HIP), and nutrition support Support base health initiatives, including the Healthcare to Health (H2H) program Deliver same-day written or verbal feedback to referring providers Participate in team-based development of clinical pathways and improvement initiatives Document care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record Attend and participate in staff meetings, briefings, and training events related to health promotion and military readiness Assist in installation-wide assessments of nutritional environments and lead improvement efforts Educate military leadership annually on supplement safety and other key nutrition topics Why Join USGP?
