Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a high-risk OB Triage, Postpartum, and Level 2 - Special Care Nursery unit within a healthcare organization. This position involves caring for patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes, performing C-sections, external cephalic versions, and managing labor and delivery processes for gestations 34 weeks or greater. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional committed to providing quality obstetric care.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Valid KS or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of submission; a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; BLS, FHM, NRP certifications; experience with high-risk labor and delivery care; willing to float to like units as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge nursing, charting systems (preferably Epic), and community hospital settings.
• Additional Information: The position includes patient care for neonates, adolescents, infants, and adults. Care involves assisting with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, postpartum management, and implementing baby-friendly protocols. This role may require float rotation to similar units to meet facility needs and involves initial unit orientation for travelers.
