Job Description We are a Chinese dumpling restaurant seeking some part-time kitchen help! As a Kitchen Team Member, you will play a vital role in our culinary operations, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. You will help make handmade dumplings, including both the filling and the dough, as well as prep and cook fried rice on a Chinese wok. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. No prior experience making dumplings is required. This position is part time, with shifts generally on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Must have availability all day Fridays and Saturdays, including evenings. Duties Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, mopping, and ensuring all surfaces are sanitized. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate food preparation and service during busy periods. Support the kitchen staff with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food items properly. Expedite orders and package take out orders. Assist with other duties as needed. Skills Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience with cooking or banquet service is a plus.
