University Behavioral Health of Denton (UBH Denton) is a private, 104‑bed, free‑standing psychiatric hospital serving North Texas and surrounding communities since 2005. The facility specializes in mental‑health and chemical‑dependency care for adolescents and adults, offering inpatient, partial‑hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services. Internship Opportunity This unpaid internship provides an opportunity to work in a patient‑care‑focused environment while gaining hands‑on experience in outpatient services. The Intern will work closely with Outpatient Services Department employees to support program delivery and client transition. Website: Responsibilities Conduct psychosocial assessments. Identify problems and design interventions to facilitate community transition. Conduct family therapy sessions. Maintain routine contact with referral sources and outpatient providers. Coordinate discharge and aftercare planning. Qualifications Successful candidate will be currently enrolled in a master’s‑level social work program or a clinical mental‑health program at an accredited university or college. Other Requirements Master’s level education required. Active school contract with UBH Denton. Liability insurance. Supervisor contract. Valid ID.
