If you are ready to make a real difference in people's lives while growing your career, we want to hear from you!### About the RoleAs an Admissions Specialist, you are the first point of contact for individuals seeking substance abuse treatment. This vital role is responsible for managing the admissions process, from initial inquiry to intake. You will conduct basic screenings, assessments, and treatment planning, serving as a key player in building relationships with clients, their families, and community partners. You’ll play an integral role in carrying out our agency's mission.### Key ResponsibilitiesYour core mission will involve utilizing a client-centered approach to guide individuals into recovery. Daily duties include:* **Screening & Intake:** Conducting initial phone and in-person screenings and intakes to determine eligibility and appropriateness for both male and female adult populations.* **Assessments & Planning:** Performing comprehensive assessments of clients' substance use history, needs, and readiness for treatment.* **Clinical Collaboration:** Applying working knowledge of ASAM criteria to accurately assess clients for all levels of care and collaborating with the clinical team to develop individualized treatment plans.* **Community Engagement:** Actively building and maintaining relationships with local referral networks, including criminal justice, social service agencies, and other community partners.* **Client Support & Documentation:** Assisting clients with necessary paperwork (such as consent forms and insurance verification) and maintaining accurate, confidential records in strict accordance with agency policies.* **Professional Integrity:** Representing the program with professionalism and integrity, serving as a vital representative for the organization.The Pike County Recovery Council is a Contract agency of the Paint Valley ADAMH Board and is governed by a Board of Directors as well as community leaders who give their time and talents to further the mission.We are an equal opportunity employerWe are a Drug Free Workplace## QualificationsTo step into this role successfully, you should bring:* **Credentials/Education:** High School Diploma or GED, and a current CDCA certification are required.* **Experience:** Prior work experience in chemical dependency or 12-Step Recovery is preferred.* **Knowledge:** A basic knowledge and understanding of ASAM criteria for all levels of care within a substance abuse treatment program.* **Mobility:** A valid Ohio Driver’s License and insurability, as this role regularly transports residents of housing to outside activities in the designated facility vehicle.* **Background:** Clean credential and background checks free of disqualifying offenses.* **Core Skills & Traits:** Empathy, exceptional organizational skills, resilience under pressure, strong communication abilities, and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.### Schedule & Logistics* **Hours:** Flexible work schedules; days and hours of service delivery vary and will be determined based upon the needs of the agency.* **Travel:** Regular local travel during the business day using a facility vehicle to transport clients to and from referral facilities or outside activities.* **Supervision:** Admissions Specialists operate under direct supervision and have no supervisory responsibilities of their own.* **Employment Type:** At-will employment.> Salary and benefit package details will be provided directly by Human Resources during the interview process.### Ready to Join Us?Come be a part of our story and see firsthand what it means to work with **Good People, Good agency.** #J-18808-Ljbffr Therecoverycouncil
