Purchasing & Inventory SpecialistPay: $18–$20/hr DOE Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM Location: Bossier City, LA 71111 Benefits: Full Benefits PackageJob DescriptionA manufacturing company in Bossier City is seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to assist with purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and material management operations.This is a hands-on position that combines computer and administrative work with time spent in the warehouse and manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with vendors and inventory systems, and willing to physically verify materials and inventory as needed.Job DutiesAssist with creating and maintaining purchase orders and purchasing recordsCommunicate with vendors regarding pricing, order status, delivery dates, and backordered materialsRequest and organize vendor quotes and purchasing informationReceive incoming materials and verify items and quantities against purchase orders and shipping documentsEnter received materials into the inventory system and maintain accurate inventory recordsMaintain accurate part numbers, descriptions, quantities, storage locations, and inventory levelsProcess inventory transactions and document materials moving in and out of inventoryPerform routine inventory counts and assist with resolving inventory discrepanciesResearch parts, manufacturers, specifications, and product information as neededOrganize inventory, parts, and materials within designated warehouse and storage areasMaintain organized purchasing, receiving, and inventory documentationCommunicate with production, warehouse, purchasing, and other departments regarding material needsAssist with general purchasing, receiving, warehouse, and inventory functions as neededQualificationsPrevious experience in purchasing, inventory control, receiving, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferredBasic Microsoft Excel skills requiredExperience with purchasing, ERP, or inventory management systems is a plusStrong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skillsAbility to stay organized and follow up on outstanding orders and materialsComfortable working in both an office and industrial/manufacturing environmentAble to physically locate, count, identify, and verify inventory and materialsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsDependable and willing to learn established purchasing and inventory processesSchedule & CompensationMonday–Friday6:00 AM–6:00 PM$18–$20/hr DOEFull benefits packageThis is a great opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, inventory, receiving, warehouse operations, material handling, or manufacturing who wants to build their skills in a growing industrial environment.
