Staff Accountant — HybridLocation: San Mateo County, CAWork Arrangement: Hybrid (typically 2–3 days onsite)Employment Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and supporting financial reporting and analysis.The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other balance-sheet accounts.Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.Maintain organized and accurate accounting records.Assist with audits, tax filings, and other external reporting requirements.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.Ensure accounting activities comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards.Collaborate with internal departments to resolve financial and operational issues.
