Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment Strategy Development and Execution: o Develop and independently execute recruitment strategies for targeted student populations, including high school students, adult learners, and transfer students. o Plan and implement recruiting events such as college fairs, high school visits, and campus tours. These efforts will be guided by overarching enrollment goals and university priorities set by the Executive Director. o Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies within the assigned territory and make necessary adjustments based on data and feedback. 2. Student Engagement and Support: o Engage directly with prospective students and their families to provide guidance on the college application process, academic programs, and financial aid opportunities. o Provide one-on-one and group advising sessions for students, helping them navigate the admissions process, identify appropriate programs, and connect with necessary resources. o Serve as a trusted resource for students, offering ongoing support throughout the enrollment process to ensure they feel welcomed, informed, and prepared. 3. Admissions Operations and Event Coordination: o Working alongside the event coordinator-plan recruitment events within assigned territory, including campus visits, open houses, and information sessions. o Review and assess application materials for completeness, ensuring timely processing of student applications and corresponding communications. o Coordinate with academic departments and other campus offices to ensure that recruitment efforts align with institutional goals and meet student needs. 4. Strategic Reporting and Data Analysis: o Collect and analyze data related to admissions trends, student demographics, and recruitment outcomes to evaluate and adjust recruitment strategies within assigned territory. o Regularly report on progress toward recruitment goals, including analyzing application and yield rates, and presenting data to Admissions leadership for decision-making. 5. Professional Development: o Participate in professional development opportunities, including attendance at conferences and workshops, to stay current with trends in higher education, admissions practices, and student success strategies. Admissions Counselor Requirements:
Experience in college admissions may be preferred.
Familiarity with college and university programs, majors, admissions requirements and processes, and scholarship and financial aid resources.
Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong planning and people reading skills.
Ability to multitask and stay organized.
Willingness to guide prospective students and families and provide ongoing support as they make important decisions. Minimum Required Education
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred. Required Licenses and/or Certifications
Valid Driver's License with clean driving record. Minimum Required Qualifications

- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic recruitment initiatives.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with student populations, including non-traditional students and those from underrepresented backgrounds.
- Knowledge of current trends in higher education admissions and student engagement.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in developing solutions to recruitment challenges
- Must be prepared to make frequent contact (inbound and outbound) via telephone, text message, e-mail, and other means with students and parents as well as internal and external
audiences. - Must pass background screening for access to and working within the education field.
