LPN Float Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care by performing nursing assessments and establishing individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment and discharge planning for patients with mental health disorders.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, treatments, and progress in the EMR system.
• Execute medication administration and assist with patient education on health management.
• Support orientation and training of new staff and shadowing nurses during initial weeks of employment.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program or equivalent in nursing.
• Valid Texas LPN license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in healthcare, preferably outpatient or clinic-based.
• Experience with mental health populations.
• Prior travel or floating experience.
• Ability to perform on-site interviews.
• Willingness to float between multiple outpatient clinics.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organizational and compliance skills.
• Physical ability to work on-site, including prolonged standing and patient interactions.

Preferred Skills:

• CMAC certification (preferred but not required).
• Experience with mental health populations (strongly preferred).
• Prior travel or floating experience (plus).
