Real Estate Acquisitions Associate

Selby Jennings is partnering with a well-capitalized, vertically integrated real estate investment firm based in Austin, TX. The firm specializes in opportunistic real estate and credit investments across the U.S., with a focus on complex transactions including land development, distressed assets, and structured finance. Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Associate to join the investment team. This individual will be involved in all aspects of the investment process—from sourcing and underwriting to execution and asset management—with a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Responsibilities The Associate will participate in all aspects of the investment process and support the team across sourcing, underwriting, execution, and ongoing asset management within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Qualifications 3-4 years of experience in real estate private equity across more than one asset class. Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills. Preference for those that are familiar with scratch modeling vs using templates. Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals and capital markets. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications are a plus.
