Shift Manager

Job Overview McDonald's is seeking a Shift Manager to lead shifts in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee will be the employer, not McDonald’s USA. All employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling, are handled by the franchisee. Responsibilities Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience at every visit. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to guarantee high Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards. Shift Managers plan each shift, monitor performance, take action to meet McDonald’s standards, and monitor safety, security, and profitability. They communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift and help assigned departments meet goals. Food Safety Internal Communication Inventory Management Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness Managing Crew Quality Food Production Exceptional Customer Service Safety and Security Scheduling Training Requirements Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Candidates should be positive team players with a flexible schedule, 18 years or older, and passionate about working in a fast‑paced environment.
