Registered Nurse (RN) - Postpartum

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Postpartum unit is responsible for providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns during their hospital stay. This role involves monitoring the health and wellbeing of patients, assisting with daily activities, and educating families on postpartum recovery and infant care.

Location

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and their newborns.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients for any signs of complications.
• Assist with breastfeeding and educate mothers about infant feeding techniques.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) therapy as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Offer emotional support and education to new mothers and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a postpartum or maternal-child health setting.
• Current and active nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
