- Performing thorough assessments of patients, recommending diagnostic procedures, and crafting personalized care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses in partnership with physicians or autonomously (as credentialed)
- Educating patients and their families about illness prevention, wellness practices, and disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies in line with your professional scope
- Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care
- Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, comprehensive care
- Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Robust clinical judgment complemented by a kind bedside demeanor
- Exceptional communication capabilities with patients, families, and health professionals
- Flexibility in fast-paced, patient-driven settings
- Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort using telehealth technology
