Pride Health is Hiring: Clinical Laboratory Scientist I / II

Location: San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675

Pay Rate: $45–$55/hr

Contract Duration: 3–4 Months (Possible Extension)

Shift Options:

• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PST

• 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM PST

• 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM PST

Work Schedule:

• Tuesday – Saturday

• Monday – Friday

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist I or II to perform moderate to highly complex clinical laboratory testing while maintaining regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and patient safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to highly complex clinical laboratory testing independently

• Prepare reagents, stock solutions, standards, and controls

• Determine specimen acceptability and perform accurate data calculations

• Verify, release, and document laboratory test results

• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments

• Perform quality control checks and corrective actions

• Participate in proficiency testing and quality improvement initiatives

• Document and resolve technical or operational issues

• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety compliance

• Train and support unlicensed laboratory staff

• Assist with SOP writing, process evaluations, and cost analysis projects

• Ensure compliance with infection control and waste disposal procedures

• Handle administrative tasks including phone support and documentation

Required Qualifications

✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related Life/Physical Science

✔ Active California CLS License (Required – No Exceptions)

✔ 0–3 years of direct clinical laboratory experience

✔ Strong Microsoft Office and typing skills

Preferred:

• Mass Spectrometry experience

• Chemistry background

• Laboratory automation systems experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly

• Prolonged sitting/standing

• Fine motor coordination and repetitive motion tasks

• Color vision testing required for applicable lab functions
