Early Learning and Community Outreach Coordinator

About Our Agency South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state's public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences and strengthens communities, while working to create a stronger, more connected and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings. Job Purpose This position will coordinate early learning and outreach activities for the agency. Primary duties include the coordination and facilitation of impactful learning programming to meet the needs of the early learners. This position will work with the early learning community to include SC First Steps, Head Start, and PBS Kids KIDS, and other student learning environments to coordinate activities, represent SCETV at education and community events, and assess the impact of these activities on established goals. This position will coordinate Kids Club subscriber engagement. This position will facilitate on-site field trips and, mobile and in-field experiences that align with the SC College and Career Ready Standards. Job Duties Coordinate high-impact learning experiences for early learning and community events plus initiatives through the conduct of needs assessments and research. Represent SCETV at PreK-5 in-school workshops, after school engagement activities, and community-based initiatives and events. Facilitate field trips at SCETV for South Carolina students that align with the SC College and Career Ready Standards. Collect and report relevant data based on these early learning and community programs. Coordinate and support family engagement initiatives by assisting with the planning and delivery of workshops, events, and resource distribution that promote early learning at home. Serve as a point of contact for families by sharing accessible, culturally responsive educational resources aligned with station programming. Provide logistical and on-site support for early learning outreach events, including scheduling, material preparation, setup, and participant engagement, to ensure high-quality learning experiences for children and families. Collaborate with team members to maintain and update a master calendar for all student- and public-facing learning events. Research SCETV missionaligned events and learning opportunities statewide that will lead to increased awareness and impact. Provide logistical and on-site support for early learning outreach events, including scheduling, material preparation, setup, and participant engagement, to ensure high-quality learning experiences for children and families. Collaborate with the Director of Student and Family Learning and team to coordinate opportunities to generate revenue through early learning programs as assigned. Other duties as assigned Qualifications A high school diploma and relevant program experience. Experience working with early learning children and families in an educational environment. Driving Record: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver's license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
