Offering a stable assignment with a start date as soon as possible and extending through June 2027, this position provides the chance to work in an educational environment near Taunton, MA, supporting students’ growth and success.
Your background in school-based physical therapy and valid PT MA credentials are essential for delivering individualized therapy services while collaborating with educators and families.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT MA) license
- Experience providing physical therapy in a school setting, or strong interest in school-based practice
- Ability to work effectively with diverse K-12 student populations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Committed to fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs or 504 Plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate students’ participation in school activities
- Assess and document students' physical abilities, progress, and treatment outcomes
- Recommend adaptive equipment and make environmental modifications as needed
- Consult and train school personnel regarding students’ needs and support strategies
- Maintain timely, accurate records and participate in team meetings
