Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary Patient Diagnoses: Trauma Level I Center- all ED types of patients; all ranges of acuity from minor care to critical care Comprehensive Stroke Center / MI center Comprehensive Cardiac Center Behavioral Health Lockdown Unit in ED Fast Track Areas Triage- will work this area Special Procedures/Unit Details: Draw own phlebotomy Specifically looking for experienced nurses that want to work in a fast paced, high volume, high acuity department. Looking for experienced, positive nurses that can provide a good example for our younger staff. FREQUENTLY have to staff in the behavioral health ED POD. 4:1 is standard ratios but our low acuity areas can be 6:1 and other areas 2:1 or 3:1. Special Equipment: Navy scrubs Stethoscope Trauma Sheers License Information: MO: Submit without license OK; requires MO or compact (no issuance if tied to another compact state). IL: License in hand required at time of submittal. Compact: Must match permanent residence otherwise submit for update + confirm ETA. Radius/Local Rules: No local candidates accepted within 75 mile radius. No local travelers allowed, except for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants. Tenure Policy / Returning Staff and Tenure Policy (excluding Interim Leadership and RNFA roles): 18 months with a 3-month break in service required. Permanent employees (across BJC and/or Saint Lukes) must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler. Floating: All travelers will float within service line. Contract Details: Confirm shift in submittal (e.g., 3x12, 4x12, etc.). Please note, contract length is firm. Booking Rules: BJC does not permit contractors to sign a contract and subsequently cancel it in order to accept another BJC assignment. Contractors are expected to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement in full. Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different BJC assignment are not allowed. If a contract is canceled at the contractor's discretion, they must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity. Compliance Deadlines/Requirements: Compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday of the week before initial start date. Fit testing: *Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper testing or will be expected to shave. No exceptions Certifications: For Barnes-Jewish Hospital location only: ACLS Required All RNs (except Behavioral Health, Case Manager & Outpatient) are required to obtain ACLS by compliance hard document deadline. Certifications not required at time of submittal unless otherwise noted in the job description. Labs: Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing Modules: Modules are billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr. Modules are completed pre-start, they are required for RNs and LVS and do not differ per specialty Modules are completed through WorkRamp and uploaded to compliance report Modules should be started within 1 week of signed contract, and MUST be completed 2 Fridays prior to the start date to avoid a delay in starting Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks: 91
