Role Description The Associate Veterinarian is a full-time, on-site role based in Paoli, PA. This team member will perform medical examinations, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and provide preventive care for dogs and cats across all life stages. Daily responsibilities include conducting wellness visits and vaccinations, managing urgent care cases, performing routine surgeries and dental procedures, and overseeing hospitalized patients. The role also involves communicating clearly with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment options, and home care, while documenting medical records accurately and collaborating with technicians and support staff. The Associate Veterinarian contributes to a positive, efficient clinic environment, upholds high standards of patient safety and comfort, and supports the practice’s commitment to exceptional client service. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree and current, or eligible, Pennsylvania veterinary license. Clinical skills in small animal medicine, including wellness care, diagnostics, and treatment planning for dogs and cats. Competence in routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry, with a focus on safe anesthesia and pain management. Ability to manage urgent care cases, triage patients, and make sound medical decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for educating clients, building trust, and collaborating with the veterinary team. Detail-oriented approach to medical recordkeeping, follow-up care, and adherence to hospital protocols. Commitment to compassionate, non-judgmental care for pets and their families, and to continuous professional development.
