The Hotel Front Desk Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient guest experience by managing check-ins, reservations, and guest inquiries. As an integral member of the front desk team, this position operates across day and night shifts, providing outstanding customer service and handling various administrative and operational tasks to support smooth hotel operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Handle reservation management and accommodate reservation inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest complaints
- Process payments and operate point-of-sale systems
- Assign rooms and monitor lobby activities
- Communicate effectively via phone and in person
- Provide local information and assist guests during their stay
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in hospitality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with reservation and POS systems
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Ability to solve problems promptly
- Excellent customer service and attention to detail
