Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional critical care to diverse ICU patients across multiple specialties
- Titrate life-saving medications including pressors, sedation, and antiarrhythmics with precision
- Float throughout Zone 1 facilities providing expert nursing care wherever you're needed most
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms while managing vents, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
- Support patients on advanced therapies like CRRT, IABP, and Impella with 1:1 attention
Qualifications
- Active Colorado or compact nursing license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (3+ years preferred for first-time travelers)
- Epic experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers
- Comfortable floating within a 60-mile radius and across various ICU and step-down units
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing across MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU settings
- Expert titration of pressors, sedation, paralytics, heparin, and insulin drips
- Ventilator management and respiratory equipment troubleshooting
- Independent cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Adaptability to float between ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry units
