Visiting Assistant or Visiting Associate Teaching Professor

About the Opportunity The School of Architecture, College of Arts, Media and Design invites applications for full‑time or 2/3 full‑time Visiting Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor positions in Architecture and Landscape Architecture. Responsibilities Teach 2–3 courses per semester (4–6 courses per academic year) in areas such as design, research, history, professional practice, and analysis of the built environment. Class formats include design studios, workshops, seminars, and lectures. Provide graduate and undergraduate instruction and contribute to the cultural life of the School through service on committees, special projects, student advising, and engagement activities. Qualifications Terminal degree in the relevant focus area (PhD for historians, master’s for design, professional practice, building technology faculty). Experience teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Well‑developed research agenda that informs and advances current trends through creative production, experimentation, collaboration, exhibition, and publication. Pay Range Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor: $62,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year (1.0 FTE). Salaries prorated for 2/3 FTE. Visiting Associate Teaching Professor: $69,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year (1.0 FTE). Salaries prorated for 2/3 FTE.
