Staff Pharmacist

We're seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a direct-hire opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist looking to expand their experience in a growing specialty/mail-order pharmacy environment supporting patients through phone-based counseling and medication management.

Details

Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: Rotating full-time schedule between 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Employment: Direct Hire / Permanent
Setting: High-volume Specialty / Mail Order Pharmacy

Responsibilities

Provide proactive patient counseling and medication education by phone, including new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication use
Collaborate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may delay dispensing
Clinically review and verify prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy
Verify filled prescriptions for accuracy of drug, dose, quantity, and labeling prior to dispensing
Assist with prescription processing and transfers while ensuring a smooth experience for patients

Requirements

Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
0-6 years of pharmacist experience preferred
Retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
New graduates are welcome to apply
Must be comfortable working a rotating Monday-Friday schedule between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM
