Coops Creek is a privately owned small animal clinic that provides majority of care to dogs and cats, however, we also see exotic, small mammals, ruminates, pigs, and other varieties large animal species. Depending on each Veterinarians skill set or interests we will add options to practice the type of medicine YOU want. Our clinic is located at the center of a small town within walking distance to coffee shops and parks. We have a heavy emphasis on caring for pets like family and embracing rural medicine. As a close knit team we value collaboration, teamwork, mentorship, and flexibility. We are seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian who shares our passion for high quality, individualized patient care.

This position is ideal for a Veterinarian who enjoys practicing a wide range of medicine and surgery but prefers independence with a supportive team. We hope to find a Veterinarian who is excited to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients through communication and education, provide surgical/medical/dental care to small animals. We encourage case discussions, mentorship, and extended continuing education for special interests. Even though we are small we make a big impact on the community. A Veterinarian who has a passion to help people and pets can make a difference in the community that often lacks Veterinary support.

We have all the basic equipment to practice up to date quality medication such as digital radiography (CR system), in house bloodwork, surgery suite, anesthetic monitoring, and more. We are always adding and improving our small space to fit the medicine we want to practice. We have two sister hospitals within 20-25 minutes that are larger and can be referred to for mentorship, collaboration, and more advanced needs.

We offer competitive salary and flexible scheduling depending on each candidates needs. Newer graduates may not be the best fit for this position as there may be a need to practice solo some days. However, there is also an ad out for South Rhea Animal Hospital and Sequoyah Animal Hospital that is perfect for new graduates to provide mentorship and the eventuality to move to this smaller clinic once more independent.

Basics like PTO, CE allowance, licensing and dues are all covered. We also offer an insurance stipend and supplemental vision/dental.
