Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized high-risk obstetric nursing care in a critical access setting, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients through compassionate and expert clinical support. This role involves managing complex OB cases, including labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care for high-risk obstetric patients, including monitoring labor and conducting C-sections.
• Circulate and assist with procedures such as magnesium drips, vaginal deliveries, and bereavement care.
• Utilize connect and expanse documentation systems accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to unit policies.
• Maintain clinical competencies in obstetrics emergencies and high-acuity situations.
• Follow all safety protocols, including dress code and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Credentialed RN with a minimum of 2 years high-risk OB and labor and delivery experience.
• Valid ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing C-sections, magnesium drips, and gyn procedures.
• Ability to circulate during complex OB procedures and handle high-acuity cases.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
