This role is pivotal in enabling scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions for projects in semiconductor, electric vehicle, advanced materials, and data center sectors. The position reports to the Digital Solutions Lead and works under general direction, with the possibility of providing technical guidance to junior engineers or analysts. The role involves frequent interaction with data scientists, project managers, IT teams, and business stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement big data architectures, including ingestion, processing, and modeling of heterogeneous data sources.Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business SMEs to deliver actionable insights.Integrate big data solutions with the client's digital ecosystem and project execution platforms.Ensure data reliability, security, and compliance with governance policies.Optimize data workflows for scalability and efficiency.Explore emerging technologies and frameworks to enhance data engineering capabilities.Support automation and advanced analytics initiatives across projects.Required SkillsProficiency with big data cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.Strong skills in Python, SQL, and data modeling techniques.Preferred SkillsExperience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with data governance frameworks and enterprise data architecture.Knowledge of engineering and construction workflows is a plus.Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.Required Experience3–5 years of experience in big data engineering roles.BenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the ClientThis client is a globally renowned engineering, procurement, and construction organization with more than 125 years of history delivering some of the world's most complex infrastructure projects — more than 25,000 of them across 160 countries on all seven continents.
