Team Lead

Team Lead Position SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a Team Lead for a plastic manufacturing company located in Sturtevant, WI. The Team Lead is responsible for support of the operation of assigned department(s) and coordination of activities within the Team Lead's scope of control and setting priorities necessary to accomplish business goals. The Team lead is a "hands on" working lead role and may be asked to perform duties of an operator or forklift driver. In addition, the Team Lead must adhere to product safety and follow all quality, legality systems. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive starting by ($24/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts: 7:00pm-7:00am (rotating shift). Responsibilities of the Team Lead: Supports the direction set forth by manager Responsible for providing a safe environment to all production employees, visitors and temporary labor Ensure all employees receive regular safety training in accordance with the safety training program Ensure all employees and visitors receive and wear their PPE and safety equipment Continually monitor production floor and equipment for unsafe or hazardous conditions, report immediately and make appropriate corrections to repair, replace or quarantine Ensure proper medical attention is provided immediately with any accident and perform the accident investigation promptly Actively participate in the safety committee and lead behavior change related to safety Maintain quality product by assuring all employees are completing quality checks and product is in specification Ensure all employees are trained to identify product for rejection, rework etc. Ensure all non-conforming products are communicated to the appropriate managers to disposition appropriately Responsible for maintaining a clean production floor and clean equipment Perform daily audits of production floor and equipment cleanliness and make necessary corrections to maintain a "showroom" condition Ensure all daily, weekly and periodic cleaning tasks are performed as outlined in the Master Cleaning Schedule with documentation initialed as completed Responsible for achieving maximum production efficiency on all scheduled machines Monitor machine processes and ensure any changes are justified and properly recorded Monitor production floor efficiencies and make necessary adjustments to meet and exceed OEE standards Perform shift inventories to ensure accurate production numbers Losses optimization (vision, unforeseen stoppages etc.) Record daily production, downtime summaries, etc. Assists with mold changes and set-ups Preferred Qualifications of the Team Lead: 1+ years of experience in leadership role Industry experience preferred Working knowledge of computer systems, including Excel, Word, Power Point and SAP Knowledge of Infinity systems desired Ability to sit, climb, stand, crawl, bend and walk on a varying basis throughout assigned work schedule Ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 pounds About Surestaff At Surestaff, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
