About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - EKG exam required for all RNs - Ability to float across various facilities Description: This position requires strong nursing skills in a Med/Surg/Telemetry setting. The patient population will primarily consist of medical-surgical patients, with the potential for telemetry capabilities. Responsibilities include providing care for patients with respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, and palliative care. Nurses will also care for psychiatric observation patients and individuals with diabetes. Administrative duties will include charting and ensuring medication compliance. The average patient ratio is 6:1. Candidates should have familiarity with electronic charting systems. Candidates should be prepared to manage various medical devices and patient care tasks. Traveling nurses may be required to float to different locations based on patient needs. All applicants should be fully compliant and ready to start work by the designated deadline. Successful candidates will demonstrate flexibility with scheduling and a strong commitment to patient care. An EKG exam is mandatory during the onboarding process, and candidates are allowed two attempts to pass. Additional skills in managing various types of intravenous lines and wound care will be beneficial.
