What You'll Do
- Conduct psychological assessments and screenings based on inmate records and clinical interviews
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary mental health team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans for inmates
- Perform routine rounds in confined housing areas to evaluate mental health needs and inmate adjustment
- Provide mental health counseling and crisis interventions as needed
- Address escalation issues through consultation with medical and security staff
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress
What You Need
Required:- Valid license or board eligibility to practice as a Psychologist
- Relevant clinical experience in mental health treatment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively within a correctional or institutional setting
- Experience working with inmate populations or in correctional facilities
- Familiarity with psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques
About the Assignment
Join a dedicated team providing essential mental health services at a well-respected facility in Pahrump, NV. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to inmate well-being, working within a collaborative and supportive environment. The role is initially scheduled for 4 weeks, with the possibility of extension based on facility needs.
