Qualified applicants who submit a complete application packet will be contacted by the Child Nutrition Supervisor regarding the interview process.Job SummaryThe Morehouse Parish School District is seeking a dependable, customer service-oriented, and detail-focused Child Nutrition Technician to support the preparation, service, and delivery of nutritious meals to students while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local child nutrition regulations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, portion controls, and nutritional guidelines.Assist with food preparation, including washing, cutting, assembling, and packaging food items.Operate kitchen equipment and food service tools safely and efficiently.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen facilities, serving areas, equipment, utensils, and food preparation surfaces.Follow all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation requirements.Accurately record meal counts and assist with required documentation and reporting.Receive, store, rotate, and inventory food and supplies according to established procedures.Monitor food temperatures and maintain food safety standards throughout preparation and service.Provide courteous and professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to food preparation and meal service.Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and regular attendance.Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
