This role requires someone who thrives at the intersection of technical thinking and relationship-building, able to take what a customer needs and shape it into a solution that can actually be produced. This is a fully on-site role involving direct, day-to-day interaction with customers, engineering, and the manufacturing team.Key Responsibilities:Cultivate and grow relationships with important accounts, staying attentive to both technical demands and broader business goalsServe as the connecting point between customers and manufacturing, translating what customers ask for into solutions that can be builtPursue new sales opportunities, whether through incoming leads or outbound prospectingWork closely with engineering, estimating, manufacturing, and customer service to put together timely, accurate quotesOccasionally travel for on-site customer visits and attend relevant trade shows or industry gatheringsTrack and maintain accurate records related to accounts, pipeline progress, and customer conversationsStay informed on foam materials, applications, and shifts within the industryRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a closely related technical areaStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through unclear or evolving customer requirementsA real enjoyment of engaging with people, along with strong listening skills and the ability to build trust naturallyAbility to communicate technical ideas to non-technical people clearly and accuratelyWell-organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple tasks at the same timeComfortable in a manufacturing environment and able to work well across different departments on-siteAble to commit to working on-site full time at one of the locations listed abovePreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or customer-facing engineering capacityWorking knowledge of polyurethane foam, polymer science, or materials chemistryExperience within a small or mid-sized manufacturing companyPrior exposure to the medical, aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing sectorsWe connect top talent with vetted employers, competitive pay, and real growth opportunities.
