Job Description
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, board-certified Neonatologist to join and help lead a growing Level III NICU program at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg-offering a flexible week-on/week-off schedule, home call model, and convenient access to Washington, D.C. Job Description:
Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU and newborn nursery
Attend and manage high-risk deliveries in collaboration with OB and perinatal teams
Deliver patient-centered care to a daily census of approximately 9-11 patients
Work within an 8-bed Level III NICU and 10 LDR couplet care rooms
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including:
2 Neonatologists
4.5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
Nursing and respiratory therapy staff
Mentor and support NICU nursing and respiratory teams as patient acuity grows
Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols
Contribute to strategic growth and expansion of the NICU program
Engage in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts
Maintain strong communication with hospital leadership and staff
Optional participation in moonlighting opportunities across Virginia
This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:
