Job Summary:
The Ultrasonographer General specializes in performing ultrasound examinations in a healthcare setting. This position involves operating diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images, with a focus on breast ultrasound procedures. The role requires adherence to departmental protocols and collaboration within a clinical team to provide accurate diagnostic information.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Certifications Required: ARDMS - Breast Specialty (RDMS (BR)); BLS (AHA).
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of college-level finance and/or accounting course preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience performing ultrasound examinations, particularly breast ultrasounds preferred.
• Required Skills & Experience: Customer service, order verification, ultrasound examination, ARDMS certification, patient identification, coding, anatomical knowledge, task prioritization, effective communication, independent work, team collaboration, infection control, sterile techniques, equipment operation, information systems operation, record keeping, medical necessity protocols, charging, consent protocols, quality control programs, equipment failure reporting, vascular procedures, cleaning standards, imaging techniques, emergency response, patient education, and image evaluation.
• Additional Responsibilities: Maintaining documentation, assisting with patient transport, performing exam preparation and protocol adherence, instructing students and radiology staff, and ensuring image quality.
• Facility Credentialing Managed by Client: High School Diploma/GED; completion of finance or accounting courses is preferred; ARDMS certification beyond physics in relevant specialty required.
