Position Summary

HarmonBK LLC is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Janitorial Cleaning Technician to provide professional cleaning and facility-support services at our Montgomery, Alabama contract location.

The selected candidate will maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and professional environment while following HarmonBK’s established cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and quality-control standards.

We are looking for an individual who demonstrates professionalism, accountability, reliability, and pride in delivering excellent service.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. General Cleaning and Sanitation

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum assigned floors.
• Clean and disinfect desks, countertops, tables, and other designated surfaces.
• Remove trash and replace wastebasket liners.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and accessible surfaces.
• Clean interior glass, mirrors, and entry doors.
• Maintain hallways, entrances, offices, and common areas.

2. Restroom Cleaning

• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, faucets, and restroom fixtures.
• Replenish toilet tissue, paper towels, and hand soap.
• Empty sanitary waste containers.
• Mop and disinfect restroom floors.
• Report plumbing problems, damaged fixtures, or supply shortages.

3. Floor Care

• Vacuum carpeted areas.
• Sweep and damp-mop hard-surface floors.
• Remove visible spots and stains using approved cleaning methods.
• Operate assigned floor-cleaning equipment when properly trained.
• Report flooring damage or unsafe conditions.

4. Equipment and Supply Management

• Maintain cleaning carts, tools, and equipment.
• Properly store and label cleaning chemicals.
• Monitor supply inventory and report shortages.
• Follow manufacturer instructions and safety data sheets.
• Keep janitorial closets clean, organized, and secured.

5. Safety and Quality Control

• Follow HarmonBK’s cleaning checklists and inspection procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Use wet-floor signs and other required safety precautions.
• Report accidents, hazards, damage, or security concerns immediately.
• Complete daily cleaning assignments and required documentation.
• Correct identified cleaning deficiencies promptly.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous commercial janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Reliable transportation to the assigned Montgomery location.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Professional conduct and respect for client confidentiality.
• Ability to use commercial cleaning products and equipment safely.
• Ability to meet any site-specific access or screening requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning activities.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds when necessary, with assistance or appropriate equipment.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties throughout the assigned shift, with reasonable accommodations where required.

Work Schedule

Every Saturday 8am - 11am

Employees must arrive on time, complete assigned tasks within the scheduled service period, and notify management promptly regarding attendance concerns.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: To be determined based on contract requirements, applicable wage determinations, experience, and assigned responsibilities.
